This is me on my 3rd birthday. Mom made me a Barbie cake. I was so excited. So were my brothers, who battled amongst themselves as to who would get to lick the icing off of Barbie's chest...
This was also the beginning of the pretty much permanent hairstyle for the next 7 or 8 years. Two pony tails or braids, with ribbons and/or barrettes to match whatever shirt I was wearing, with the slight side-part to accomodate the stubborn cowlick.
